Who says you can’t have fun on a Thursday?
With 100% REAL stories and 100% REAL made-up comedy and songs, Sounds Made Up is ready to get your weekend started sooner with some outrageous MUSICAL improv! A blend of Chicago and New York influences, Sounds Made Up is a musical improv show form called The Musical Armando, and features a special guest storyteller or monologist whose only rule is that they have to tell TRUE stories about their life! As clever as they are dashing, our brilliant cast will use those stories as inspiration to perform a musical improv show that’ll tickle your funny bone AND your ear drums!
This month’s special guest monologist and storyteller is the one and only Kate Baldwin!!! A longtime fixture of the Push Comedy Theater family, Kate has taken all the improv classes, performed in Harolds, won an entire 3 on 3 tournament, performed and wrote sketches for several Panties in a Twist productions, and has even won a Best Recurring Show caption at the Pushie Awards. More importantly, Kate started the Musical Improv program at Push which has enhanced so many lives and created incredible moments of achievement here in Hampton Roads!
Did you miss Sounds Made Up this month? Don’t worry, this show occurs as part of our regular monthly programming on the last Thursday of every month. So, if you missed us this time around, we’ll be back next month with a brand new special guest and hilarious musical improv. Venue Information: The Push Comedy Theater only has 90 seats, so we recommend getting your tickets in advance. We’ve been making people laugh since 2015 and are located at 763 Granby Street in Norfolk, VA. Parking is extremely limited, and encourage folks to be respectful of surrounding businesses and residences parking spaces.
