A Collaboration for Community Well-Being

Experience Personal Growth through our Well-Being Workshops.

Our Mission

Our Emotional Wellness Program aspires to support our community in their individual journeys with increased comedy skills, emotionally healthy communication skills, and overall personal growth.

In collaboration with Push Comedy Theater’s Community & Well-Being Program and Watermark Psychological Services, this program is for individuals seeking to increase emotional and self awareness, nurture effective communication skills, and develop deeper connection with others. Participants experience these growth points through the dynamic adventure that the intersection between improvisational comedy and mental healthcare can safely provide. Classes will be facilitated by both an improvisation teacher and a mental health professional.

Upcoming Well-Being Workshops

Participants will be required to fill out a well-being questionnaire prior to class registration.

Boundaries

In this foundational workshop we will define and discuss the concept of boundaries as applied to relationships. You will be encouraged to understand and develop your own boundaries which will help you to feel more confident in your decisions involving other people. We will then apply these concepts to the stage through improvisation exercises, jumping into scene work and looking at when to yield versus when to join new energies. This workshop aims to help you identify your relational needs, define clear boundaries with others, and use your voice confidently both onstage and in your own life.
